| My partner and I have a farm in East Sussex (approx 10 mins South of Lewes). We have 30 acres and a variety of different farm buildings including a building that would be well suited as a farm shop.
We have full time jobs so we've been looking for a horticultural entrepreneur to help with the land to launch a market garden/veg box delivery scheme. We have two fields which are south facing. The fields have water and immediately adjoin our farm yard which has road access and electricity etc. There is a real growing UK demand for this kind of produce with a newly found focus on "local" supply and a better understanding of UK food chains: we know of some local businesses who are really prospering through similar offers. Brighton is a very affluent city and provides a target market of 300,000+ people. An exciting opportunity exists to put the land to use for growing sustainable produce, sell locally either at markets or via veg box scheme and then downstream use the farm shop to full advantage for retail/cafe.
