| Myself and my husband are in our early fifties, and we live on a 5 acre smallholding with a huge (2.5 acre) greenhouse, in a static caravan. We grow strawberries and tomatoes which we sell to local farm shops/box schemes, and occasionally farmers’ markets. My husband works full time on the smallholding, whilst I have a full time job and help out at evenings and weekends. However, we aren’t fulfilling our potential, as there’s just too much work for two of us, so we are looking for partners – like-minded people who are passionate about growing great-tasting food, who care about the environment and would jump at the chance of living in the countryside. We want to do an eco-build eventually, and hope that we could all ‘muck in’ and help one another. If you’d like to come an join us, please get in touch! |
