| I am seeking a detached unfurnished cottage with land (woodland would be fine as long as there is also a garden) in a rural/semi rural location but accessible for transport links/services etc even if these are some distance away. Ideally must also have a postal service to the cottage.
Must accept pets as I will be bringing my 4 dogs with me (one large 3 small all well behaved) and will also be bringing a large outdoor cat chalet for my elderly cats. I am a Bereavement Counsellor/Website Owner/Writer and intend to work from home from the property so would need broadband or dial up internet access. The land is required for a level of self sufficiency (fruit/veg growing and possibly poultry in the future) as well as walking my dogs. Very happy to consider 'tatty' run down properties providing they have some form of electric, water and phoneline. I have rented properties like this before and thoroughly enjoyed decorating and doing them up. I only left these properties as they changed hands during my time there and the new owners decided to resell them during the 'boom' : ( Very long term lets preferred - years and years preferably. I own my own cottage outright and will be renting this out and eventually selling it in the future once I find a smallholding/cottage with land to rent long term. I am quite 'handy' and can turn my hand to most things. I am just about to complete renovating my own Victorian cottage and garden which I have been working on for the past few years. I retired from working in London 3 years ago (please note I am only 36) but am a country girl at heart and only worked in the city for as long as it took to repay my mortgage. I love my current cottage but it lacks the space outside and views I am seeking and now I am in the fortunate position to be able to live anywhere I would like to fulfil my dream. Altho I am obviously currently a home owner, I would happily rent the right property forever given the opportunity. |
