Recently rennovated, off grid, stone cottage set on one acre of land in a beautiful part of East Clare. The cottage has been rennovated using ecological materials, with new slate roof, hemp fibre insulation, hemp and lime plaster and floors, new stone porch, low wattage lighting etc. Heating is with a solid fuel range and stove. All windows are new and double glazed. The cottage is currently off grid, electricity being supplied by solar panels and a wind turbine. This means there are no utility bills except Broadband. Mains electricity is available as is a phone line.

The land has many mature trees and includes a productive apple orchard. There are an assortment of other fruit trees and fruit bushes, also a polytunnel and productive, organic vegetable garden.

There are several schools in the area, one of which is a Steiner school. Lough Derg is 10 minutes walk away with a shallow bay perfect for children.
